Shout Out! This tidbit is non-Grey's related however it is just as cool. My best friend just launched an incredibly nifty "social food discovery" website www.grouprecipes.com. It is an amazing way to find great recipes and uses some cool technology(finding food by cravings/flavors!). If you are into cooking you should really give it a visit. It takes all of 30 seconds to sign up. I'd be very grateful. :)

Fresh episode tonight! "Let the Angels Commit" involves Cristina horning in on a rare surgery which sets the rest of the doctors in a fit of jealously. Alex starts to reconsider his speciality while George and Addison work to help Noelle who is pregnant with twins. Meanwhile Derek's sister visits. The previews looked great!

Dempsey's First Wife...Liar! Awhile back Patrick's first wife accused him of "brutalizing" her. This was filed in the official divorce reports. It was then published in various publications. Well it is now coming to light that she did indeed lie. She has admitted to lying "in the heat of a divorce". So everyone can put that story to rest finally. P.D. is a good guy. Read Full Story Here.

Meredith Grey gets an AWARD... The Houston Chronicle has created a run-down of all of televisions slutiest characters. Meredith almost claims the top spot losing out only to none other than Nip/Tuck's Dr. Christian Troy. Read entire story.

In case you are living under a rock, T.R. Knight is gay. Some people (even some on our very own forums) thought this for some time. Apparently the onset scuffle and ensuing media blitz pushed T.R. to go public this week. So that is that. Shonda Rhimes (creator of GA) says (as expected) this of course "changes nothing" for T.R.'s character. You can read more about it here.

And in comparatively less exciting news, we have a re-run of Grey's this week.

October 25th, 2006
In case you missed it Isaiah has apologized publicly for his "altercation" and use of a homophobic slur on the set of Grey's a few weeks ago. In case you missed it, T.R. Knight was late to a scene and Washington (who had been complaining about other cast members being late) wanted to shoot without him. Dempsey wanted to wait. Names were thrown around on both sides (Dempsey telling Wash to "f*ck off" and Wash dropping "I'm not your little faggot like T.R. Knight."). Then Wash choked Dempsey before it was broken up. The whole thing lasted only a few moments.

Currently all three actors are "ok" with each other. So there should be no long term fallout. That being said, the producers and writers are trying to minimize situations of possible conflict for the time being.

And we here at gaonline have confirmed from 2 sources (one being ABC) that Washington will NOT BE FIRED. So you can put that to bed. However you will notice a little less interaction between the characters of involved parties (at least for a few episodes).

October 12th, 2006
Huge News!!!
It is being reported that Patrick Dempsey and Isaiah Washington got into a physical altercation (i.e. BRAWL) on the set this week. Apparently Isaiah was trying to pick a fight with T.R. Knight (George) after he showed up late for work. Dempsey came to his defense and gave Isaiah a "tongue-lashing". Isaiah (the MUCH bigger guy) responded by grabbing Patrick by the throat. Crew members had to break up with fight. Apparently this has been brewing for quite some time as Isaiah is a bit jealous of Patrick's success. Other reports state that Isaiah has been more upset about the rest of the casts' inability to show up for work on time.

Wow! Talk about drama.
This has been confirmed by about every major media outlet as well.

Ratings for last episode were stellar (AGAIN). We topped CSI (AGAIN) to be named the #1 show on television. BUYA!

October 12th, 2006
Tonight's episode is called What am I? It is a wonderful episode (but then again aren't they always?). Addison doubts her abilities while Cristina gets pushy with Burke's rehab and one of the interns has their own medical emergency.

We have some great news for you "McSteamy" fans out there! Eric Dane has been added as a series regular on the show! So you can expect to see more of Dr. Mark Sloan.

Also, here is a good little article/interview with Shondra Rhimes (creator of Grey's Anatomy) about the show and her high school job as a candy striper.

October 4th, 2006
Last week's episode did VERY well. For the second straight week ABC's Grey's dominated CBS's juggernaut CSI. The ratings last week (if you care) were 14.9/22 which was #1 on the night and made GA the most watched show on television. The new show "Six Degrees" didn't do quite so well with a paltry 7.3/12. So you can expect some lineup changes on Thursday come mid-season (Mid January).

September 17th, 2006
We are back from an extended hiatus (so sorry, but had serious personal/family issues to take care of). But Greysanatomyonline.com is back for this fresh and oh-so-exciting season of the best show on television!

We were left with one heck of a season finale and the premiere will knock your socks off (yes, I have seen it early). And NO, I will not spoil any of its goodness for you. But just make sure you tune in.

The season premiere will of course be next week, September 21st to be exact at 9PM. Yes this is on THURSDAY the new night which is the MOST COMPETITIVE timeslot in American television today. It will be interesting to see how the show stacks up against CBS' juggernaut CSI. Also, ABC will launching its new J.J. Abrams show "Six Degrees" (which looks...well, not soo good) on Thursdays following Grey's.

In other news, Sandra will be on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Thursday the 21st. Also, Patrick Dempsey and his wife are expecting their second child. They already have a 4-year-old daughter named Talula.

And finally, I just want to say that if you have not been to the forums you are MISSING OUT. It never ceases to amaze me how stellar and devoted our forum members are. They LOVE the show and it shows.

The Grey's Anatomy Season 2 DVD is now available for pre-order purchase at amazon (See the link to the right). The DVD is $59.99 and comes with all 27 episodes from the season plus 3 extended episodes, interviews with all the cast members, as well as a lot of character Q&A's. It is a 6 disc set and will be shipped on September 12th, 2006 (though if you pre-order through Amazon they usually ship 2 days early).

In other HUGE news GA will has sold rights to its syndication. This means that you will soon be able to watch GA episodes on another channel starting in January of 2007. There is no word yet on which network bought the rights, but my guess is either Turner Broadcasting, USA, ABC Family, or the Oxygen channel. More on this when news is available.

And our very own Katherine Heigl (Izzie) is getting married to musician Josh Kelley. You may remember that she appeared in his video for the hit song "Only You". Congratulations to Kat. I know that everyone here at GAOnline wishes you the best.

And finally the forums are up and running smoothly. So register and meet some other wonderful fans!

May 17th, 2006
Just a little bit longer on the forums folks. I promise.

BIG NEWS. Grey's Anatomy will be MOVING to THURSDAYS @ 9PM starting in the fall. What does this mean for you? For the show? Well that all depends on what other shows you watch and the competition we now have to face on Thursdays. The other networks have not announced their schedules, but I will post a table here once they do.

And here is ABC's new Thursday night:

8:00 p.m. "Big Day" (new comedy)
8:30 p.m. "Notes from the Underbelly" (new comedy)
9:00 p.m. "Grey's Anatomy"
10:00 p.m. "Six Degrees" (new drama)

As you can see ABC is trying to utilize our success to launch a plethora of new shows.

Wow, what an amazing episode this week! The ratings were very good @ 13.3/21 which was #2 right behind DH.

This week's episode is going to be called "Damage Case" and will air at the normal time on Sunday @ 10PM. The interns treat another intern from a different hospital, Derek lets his emotions get the best of him, and the staff deals with a family involved in a car accident.

April 30th, 2006
NEW episode tonight called "Blues for Sister Someone". Izzie tries to get the inside scoop from George about his personal life. Alex works with Addison, and Burke treats his musical hero. WATCH THE TRAILER

As for last week's ratings, the show slid a bit from previous episodes. We came in right behind Desperate Housewives with a 9.6/16. Remember the season finale is 2 hours long and will air on the 15th!

In other related news, Katherine Heigl will be the star of a new feature film due out at the end of the year called "Knocked Up". She will be playing the girl who is pregnant. The movie is being directed by the same guy who did "The 40 Year Old Virgin" so that sounds good.

April 23, 2006
NEW episode tonight! FINALLY! To celebrate the show's return we are going to have a HUGE post-episode discussion in the FORUMS. There are usually about 500-700 people in the forums after each episode. There is tons of great discussion. See you there.

April 15th, 2006
Ok. Don't shoot the messenger, but there will be NO GREY'S ANATOMY this week. :( Sorry. ABC is trying to push their new Drama "What About Brian" so that will air following Desperate Housewives.

The next new episode will be the following Sunday on April 23. It is called "Under Pressure". More details on that soon.

Last episode was awesome! Our citic Tia has posted her "Name of the Game" review here.

The ratings for last episode were VERY good. 14.1/23 was good enough for #1 on the entire night.

March 28th, 2006
Ratings from last episode are in and despite the fact it was a re-run it still scored a 9.8/16 which was good enough for #4 on the night!

In other news, next week (April 2nd) we have a NEW! episode called "Name the Game". Don't read anymore unless you want to get a quick summary of the episode. George begins to "overstay" his welcome at Burkes. Bailey is worried that the staff no longer sees her as the Nazi-like leader she once was now that she has a baby. Meanwhile Alex gets a lesson in bedside manners from Burke and Derek operates on a young spelling be champ with a severe head injury.

Here is an article from ET which talks about and has quotes from Patrick Dempsey.

Quote: "It's nice to be mentioned in the same breath with George Clooney," Patrick admits. "We're completely different, but it's flattering to be mentioned. It's up to me now and the choices I make from here on in."

This Sunday's episode is a re-run. Description: "Into You Like a Train" Meredith awaits Derek's final decision, but she is sidetracked when a gruesome train wreck floods Seattle Grace with patients. WATCH TRAILER

BIG SHOW NEWS! ABC is seriously considering moving Grey's Anatomy to Monday or Thursday nights! I am not sure I agree with this move because the Desperate Housewives lead-in is just too golden to leave. But if ABC does decide to move the show, they will open up that huge spot behind DH and also open a HUGE spot behind GA on Monday/Thursdays. No Decision has been made yet. We will probably know for sure in the next 3 weeks. Stay tuned.

March 23rd, 2006
Here is an interesting article from the AZCentral that claims the success of GA is due in part to the ethnically diverse cast. There is a good interview with Isaiah Washington as well.

Excerpt: "Dr. Preston Burke isn't just another stereotypical incarnation of Eriq LaSalle's Dr. Peter Benton on "ER." Burke's more evolved. He's started to open up and reveal shades of emotion. He's flawed, he's funny, he's taking a chance on romance." Read the full article.

March 18th, 2006
This Sunday's episode is called "Superstition". A string of deaths haunt Seattle Grace and cause the staff to become overly superstitious. This makes Izzie worried about Denny's surgery. Meanwhile Derek and Addison have a talk about their living arrangements.

In the meantime, here is a good article from the Houston Chronicle talking about why fans love the show so much and why it has been a smash hit this season. The writer believes the show is going to be around for YEARS to come. We certainly agree and hope thats true. Here are some tidbits:

Here are some tidbits.

"Grey's plays like a cross between the drama of ER and the camaraderie of Friends , with some spicy female empowerment a la Sex and the City in the center."

"Patrick Dempsey, when he nearly kisses Meredith, it's like nearly kissing me," (Jacki Moore of Burbank, CA. Age 37).

"I just feel like I can relate a lot to Meredith and I'm rooting for the underdog, but, oh, I'm a McDreamy fan." (Karyn McQueen. Age 23).

RATINGS! The show was NUMBER 1 for the ENTIRE night. We took out our sister show Desperate Housewives again! This is looking to be quite a trend.

In other show news, GA's director Peter Horton has just been PROMOTED to Executive Producer. Congrats to him. He will also be working with GA's creator Shondra Rhimes on her new ABC pilot about 4 female journalists.

FINALLY! We have fresh episodes this Sunday! The episode is called "Band Aid Covers the Bullet Hole". Meredith has to deal with the repercussions of getting together with George. Speaking of George, he is bonding incredibly well with Burkey, and this is freaking Cristina out. And of course Bailey tries to push herself and see patients before she should. Meanwhile, Derek and Addison have a serious talk about their relationship and Izzie spends more time with the heart transplant guy Denny.

In other news, here is a good little article about the recent press week the show's cast did. Apparently they had a great time! Wish I was there!

March 4th, 2006
Sorry folks but there is NO NEW GA episode this Sunday. But there is the Academy Awards presentation, so be sure to tune in for that.

GA will be back next week with an all new episode called "Band Aide Covers the Bullet Hole" in which Cristina has to take care of Bailey's newborn, Addison and Derek discuss their relationship, and Denny thwarts Alex's attempts to get closer to Izzie.

March 1st , 2006
The ratings for last episode were stellar again. The show was #1 in the key adult demographic and propelled ABC to a Sunday night ratings victory. It seems that the post-superbowl episode has managed to retain a good amount of new viewers.

In other news, Patrick Dempsey as just revealed that when he was a child he was dyslexic. In a recent interview with USA Today he stated "I think it made me who I am today". He further went on to say that he still has "problems reading and memorizing scripts". The interview with Barbara Walters will air tonight at 10PM! So tune in to support Grey's Anatomy.

February 26, 2006
Tonight's episode is called "What Have I done to Deserve This". George and Meredith find work incredibly awkward. Despite the fact that Bailey is suppsed to be on leave to rest after the baby, she ends up helping Addison with a "feminine" issue. Izzie pays some attention to Denny which makes Alex incredibly jealous.

Watch EXCLUSIVE preview clips of today's Grey's Anatomy. NOTE: these clips are extended and show quite a bit, so if you like to be surprised (like me) don't watch them. If you can't resist, here you go: Watch Clips

As for last week's ratings, the show did AMAZING! We beat Desperate Housewives for the number one spot overall for the entire night! This is a huge deal. The only better show on tv right now is that darn American Idol (which seems to be on every night!).

February 18, 2006
This week's episode is called "Yesterday". Someone from Addison and Derek's past visits Seattle Grace and really stirs things up. Burke visits with Cristina's mother and learns something he didn't know. Meredith visits her mother and is tipped onto something big.

In other news, ABC has a GREAT new podcast system. Listen to Patrick, Justin, and Katherine discuss the show. LISTEN

Tonight's episode is called "As we Know it" and is the continuation from last week's monumental episode "Code Black". Not to spoil too much, but in this episode the code black is still in effect and gets worse!

Tonight is the night! The biggest episode is the history of the show! Be sure to tune in after you watch the Superbowl! Ejoy people. It is truly an amazing episode. Lots of action and drama.

January 29, 2006
Tonight! "Break on Through" is the title of this evening's episode. The nurse staff at Seattle Grace goes on strike. This leaves the doctors with more work than they can handle. Izzie treats a young pregnant girl and Meredith makes a mistake treating a patient.

In other show news. Sondra Rhimes has been saying that she thinks the Grey's Anatomy post Superbowl slot will be a shot in the arm for the show. She, as well as the network, hope it will bring in some new viewers permanently. I agree, I think next week's ratings are going to surge! Not to mention I hear next week's episode is incredibly GOOD.

The network and the cast are being kept on an incredibly tight leash about "Code Black" (next episode). It is supposed to be one of the best GA episodes ever! That is straight from the creator of the show, as well as the few critics that have been fortunate enough to see it.

January 22, 2006
Last night's episode was very good. Be sure to stop by the forums to discuss it with other fans.

In other news, Christina Ricci is set to guest star in the Feb. 5th episode called "Code Black". It supposed to a one heck of an episode. I'll round up some spoilers on that episode as well as some others soon for you.

This week's episode is called "Tell me Sweet Little Lies" and is really good (I watched it yesterday). Meredith and Cristina lie to each other about their relationships and feel bad about it. Meanwhile George has a rough time discharging an elderly patient who doesn't want to leave, and Alex finally learns about his exam scores.

Fresh Grey's Anatomy episodes are back in 1 week! I've updated the episode and music pages as well. The picture gallery is next.

In this week's episode Cristina gets upset over the new limits on work hours and Izzie gets a patient who needs a heart transplant and who also wants a date with her. Derek visits Meredith's mother and George's patient is a young hermaphrodite who is having a difficult time with puberty. Rumor has it that there is some good relationship havoc in this episode as well. The networks like to spice things up the first week back after a break so don't miss this one!
